How it works
Start with your guild’s name
Enter a name your group already likes, or leave the field blank to get a suggestion. Choose your faction and a style, then tell us whether your guild is mainly about Raiding, PvP, Roleplay or Social play. Leave the focus on Any if you are still exploring.
See what your guild could stand for
Create an identity to get a motto, founding story, purpose, values and tradition. You will also get an emblem idea, six rank titles from newcomer to leadership, and a recruitment message you can adapt for your group.
Keep the name and explore the details
Generate again to try a different history, motto or set of ranks with the same name. Save versions you like, or copy the whole identity into your guild notes. Discuss it with your members and change anything that does not feel like your group.
Frequently asked questions
We already have a guild name. Can we keep it?
Yes. Enter it in Guild name before you create the identity. The name stays when you generate again, so you can compare different histories and mottos without losing it. Clear the field whenever you want a new suggestion.
What if our guild does several activities?
Choose the activity you most want to emphasize, or use Any focus to explore different directions. Each result gives you a clear purpose. You can copy it and add the other activities your members enjoy.
What do Lore-inspired, Heroic, Dark and Funny change?
Your style changes the feel of the motto, values, rank titles and parts of the founding story. Try Lore-inspired for a travelling fellowship, Heroic for a company with a strong sense of duty, Dark for a more mysterious identity, or Funny for a group that enjoys a joke.
Can we use the ranks and recruitment message?
Yes. The ranks are listed from newest member to leadership; rename, remove or rearrange them to suit your guild. Copy the recruitment message and add your realm, usual play times, contact details and any expectations before posting it.
Does the emblem idea create a tabard image?
It gives you a written idea for a symbol, not an image or an in-game tabard. Use it as a starting point when choosing your colors and design, or share the description with someone making artwork for your guild.
How do we keep or share an identity?
Save keeps the complete identity in this browser on this device. Open View saved details to read it again, or use Copy to send it to your guildmates. Keep a copy elsewhere if you want it available on another device.
